Our Founder

My name is Berta Amico, and I am a proud mother, veteran, and Texan. Having worked in an array of different industries, I have gained the skills necessary to form authentic relationships with those I work with. These skills, combined with this job, have not only enabled me to have a meaningful impact on the lives of my Clients, but have also brought a sense of self-fulfillment as I place individuals in the jobs they need to provide for their families.

History of BBS

Better Business Staffing was founded in 2023 by a proud United States Army Veteran who served her country with honor for 13 years. Her diverse experiences, including living in various foreign lands and supporting her previous spouse’s career as a world traveler, have shaped her dedication and expertise as the agency’s owner.

Following her military service, she transitioned to the civilian workforce, gaining valuable experience in different roles and teams. Disenchanted with the confines of corporate culture, she was inspired to launch her agency, driven by her desire to impact people’s lives positively.

Her journey in the staffing industry began as a temp employee at Kelly Temp Agency, where she found comfort in the familiar structure of post-military life. She later honed her skills and leadership abilities at two staffing agencies, always prioritizing integrity and respect in her interactions.

Known for her humble leadership style and unwavering belief in her team, she fosters a culture of transparency and positivity. She views challenges as opportunities for growth and learning, and her commitment to excellence has led Better Business Staffing to expand its operations from Texas to Alaska, fulfilling her vision of bridging opportunities from the Lonestar State to the Last Frontier.

My service to our great country has taught me invaluable lessons about navigating life’s curveballs and adapting to challenges. I approach my work with unwavering passion, as it has always been an integral part of who I am—from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep.”

Hello, my name is Damaris Martinez. I recently attended Texas State University with a focus on pursuing a career in the medical field. Caring for others has always been my passion, and I am dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives by providing compassionate care and support.

During my time in college, I worked as a Cashier for a company that supported me as I balanced work and studies. I have been employed since I was 18 years old and gained valuable experience in customer service and teamwork.

I am thrilled to have been offered the opportunity to join Better Business Staffing as a Sales Administrative Assistant. I am eager to contribute to the team and help connect top-tier candidates with businesses needing talented individuals. I am confident that I can make a positive impact and help both our clients and candidates succeed.

What is the best part of working at the BBS?
Even though it was a Temporary job service, they provided quality work, exceptional pay, and major work experience.

I was and still am very happy with my experience with Better Business Staffing. Not only was I impressed by this agency, but the Owner was the one who was conducting my interview and onboarded me.
